Abu Dhabi meeting focuses on stability in Afghanistan

Bringing security and stability back to Afghanistan was the focus of a four-party meeting in Abu Dhabi late on Tuesday.
Attending the meeting were representatives from the United Arab Emirates; Saudi Arabia; the United States, and Afghanistan.
Those meeting issued a list of recommendations at the end of the meeting. Implementing these recommendations, they said, would be necessary for comprehensive reconciliation in the restive state.
US Special Representative for Afghanistan Zalmay Khalilzad said he was contented with the outcome of the meeting.In the context of efforts to restore security and stability in Afghanistan, a quartet meeting was held in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday.
The meeting was between the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, the United States and Afghanistan.
The participants recommended number of recommendations that lead to the process of comprehensive reconciliation in Afghanistan to serve the aspirations of the Afghan people.
Zalmay Khalilzad, the US Special Envoy for Peace in Afghanistan, expressed his satisfaction with the results of the meeting.
