Ethiopian PM stresses keenness on maintaining Egypt Nile rights

Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has said that he is
personally keen on maintaining Nile rights of Egypt and all African countries
along the river.
In a meeting with Moustafa Madbouli of Egypt Tuesday, the
premiers agreed to start bilateral talks within two weeks to settle pending
points.
A joint fund should also be established by Egypt, Ethiopia
and Sudan after governors of their central banks probe the issue, Madbouli said
in statements on the fringe of the 11th extra-ordinary conference of AU heads
of state and government, currently taking place here.
Egypt supports the process to reform the organizational
structure of the AU, Madbouli reiterated.
He said Egypt plays a major role in the restructuring of the
AU Development Agency.
During his meeting with Abiy, Madbouli also delivered a
message from President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, in which he expressed keenness on
implementing what had been agreed during their meeting in Cairo in June.
