Taliban rejects involvement in last evening’s deadly suicide attack

The Taliban group in Afghanistan has rejected the
involvement of the group in last evening’s deadly suicide attack which targeted
a gathering of religious scholars on the eve of Eid Milad (Birthday of Prophet
Mohammad P.B.U.H), Khaama Press reported.
Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid issued a statement and
said the group strongly condemns the attack in Oranus Hotel on the eve of Eid
Milad that left a number of people dead, including some religious scholars.
Mujahid blamed ‘some vicious circles’ for the attack and
claimed that the attack has links with some small tensions among the circles
who do not hesitate in brutally murdering Muslims.
No individual or group has so far claimed responsibility
behind the attack.
The security officials are saying at least 43 people have
died and more than 80 others have sustained injuries in the attack but the
public health officials are saying more than 50 people have been killed and at
least 83 others have sustained injuries in the attack.
