34th session of Arab justice ministers council kicks off in Khartoum

The 34th session of the Council of Arab Ministers of Justice
(CAMJ) kicked off in Khartoum on Thursday.
Justice Minister Hossam Abdel-Rahim represents Egypt at the
meeting.
The opening session was attended by Sudanese President Omar
al Bashir, Assistant Arab League Secretary General Mohammed al Amin Ould Akik,
Speaker of the Arab Parliament Mishaal bin Fahm al Salami and Arab justice
ministers and Sudanese officials.
In statements to MENA correspondent in Khartoum, Sudanese
Justice Minister Mohamed Ahmed Salim said that the Khartoum-hosted meeting will
discuss a host of important issues, topped by the Arab Convention on Regulating
Status of Refugees in the Arab Countries and the Arab Convention for Combating
Corruption.
The attendees will also discuss an item related to Sudan's
request to remove its name from the US list of state sponsors of terrorism, he
added.
