Bridging the Gap: PM Barzani and Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah Forge Stronger Ties

Minister Masrour Barzani met with Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, the
Crown Prince of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, to discuss the strengthening of
bilateral relations between the two countries. The meeting, held on Monday in
Dubai, was described in a statement from the Kurdistan Regional Government
(KRG) as a "positive and productive" gathering.
The statement added that the Crown Prince expressed his
gratitude for the friendship between the Kurdistan Region and the UAE, and
expressed his hope to deepen the relationship at all levels. PM Barzani
discussed the common values shared by both the Kurdistan Region and the UAE,
and expressed support for continued coordination on construction and
reconstruction projects.
PM Barzani also conveyed the Kurdistan Region's ambitions
for regional food security to UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed (MbZ), stating
that they are "aligned" with those of the Gulf country. The Prime
Minister's visit to Dubai also included a meeting with UAE Vice President
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, where he expressed gratitude for the
Gulf country's ongoing support for the Kurdish government's reform program.
The main focus of this year's
summit was the current crises around the world, especially the energy crisis
affecting Europe. The meeting between PM Barzani and the Crown Prince of Ras Al
Khaimah marks a significant step forward in the strengthening of bilateral ties
between the Kurdistan Region and the UAE. The two leaders emphasized the
importance of continued cooperation and collaboration for the benefit of both
nations.
