US embassy condemns attack on Chinese consulate in Karachi

The US Embassy in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad, has
condemned an attack that took place near the Chinese consulate in Karachi on
Friday.
US Chargé d’Affaires to Pakistan Ambassador Paul Jones said
that the US is strongly denouncing the attack that targeted the Chinese
consulate in Karachi, Samaa TV reported.
Earlier in the day, the Pakistani separatist Balochistan
Liberation Army (BLA) insurgent group claimed responsibility for the attack.
