Daesh terrorist organization on Sunday claimed responsibility for the armed attack on a police station in the southeastern Libyan oasis town of Tazirbu, leaving nine persons killed, others injured and around 15 to 20 persons abducted, according to the Libyan Al Wasat website.

Daesh noted that the attack is not the first of its kind, pledging to continue such operations. It also noted that the attack was carried out by seven four-wheeled vehicles

Libya plunged into chaos after its 2011 Arab Spring uprising.

On Friday, an armed attack was carried out against a police station in Tazirbu town and the authorities attributed it to Daesh.
