High turnout of Bahraini voters asserts rejection of any interference in internal affairs: Arabia

Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al Jubeir said that the
high turnout of voters in the Bahraini parliamentary elections asserted that
the Bahrainis reject any foreign interference in their internal affairs.
This high turnout asserts that unity of the Bahraini
people and their trust in their leadership, Al Arabiya news channel quoted
Jubeir as saying on Twitter on Sunday.
The Preliminary rate of voter turnout has been
announced at 67%, well above the 53% witnessed during Bahrain's last elections
in 2014.
In all, 430 candidates are standing for election –
293 for the House of Representatives, and 137 for municipal councils.
