Four Kurds were killed on Tuesday in Turkish airstrikes on the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) in northern Iraq.

The Iraqi news channel Al Ekhbariya reported the news without giving any further details.

On Wednesday, Turkish forces killed 19 PKK militants during airstrikes in northern Iraq.

The air strikes targeted several regions in northern Iraq, including the Qandil Mountains, a PKK stronghold.

Turkey regularly carries out air strikes against PKK targets in neighboring northern Iraq.

The PKK, considered a terrorist organization by Turkey, has waged a three-decade insurgency in Turkey’s largely Kurdish southeast that has killed about 40,000 people.
