Egypt, Spain carry out naval drills in Mediterranean

Egyptian and Spanish naval forces carried out a transient maritime drill within the North Fleet zone in the Mediterranean Sea on Wednesday as part of the Armed Forces' plan to enhance military cooperation with friendly and sisterly nations.

The drill included a virtual scenario of confronting threats facing maritime security and confronting terrorism. It also included confronting unconventional threats at sea, facing air raids and protecting ships carrying important shipments while crossing dangerous zones.

The exercise aimed at exchanging expertise and coordinating efforts to confront challenges and threats.
