Diplomat: Egypt-UAE ties are deeply-rooted

UAE Ambassador in Cairo
Jumaa Mubarak Al Junaibi said that ties between Egypt and the United Arab
Emirates are strong and deeply-rooted and they reached to a strategic level.
Speaking at a
ceremony held at the UAE embassy in Cairo to mark the 47th National Day of the
United Arab Emirates, the diplomat said the continued consultations and the
repeated and reciprocal visits between the two countries at the presidential
level demonstrated the time-honored and strong ties binding the two countries.
Junaibi said the
volume of UAE investments in Egypt amounted to 6.6 billion dollars, making it
the biggest investor in the country.
The ceremony was
attended by representatives of Al Azhar Al Sharif and the Church and the
governor of Cairo, Minya and Daqahliyah, Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt
Tareq Amer and former prime minister Essam Sharaf.
