AL, EU discuss cooperation on Palestinian issue
Arab League (AL) Assistant Secretary General for
Palestinian and Occupied Arab Lands Affairs Saeed Abu Ali on Wednesday had
talks with European Union (EU) Special Representative for the Middle East Peace
Process Susanna Terstal.
The two sides discussed cooperation mechanisms
between the AL and EU on the Palestinian issue for pushing forward the peace
efforts and setting up the Palestinian state with Al Quds as its capital.
Also, they discussed the political and humanitarian
situation in the Palestinian territories and the suffering of the Palestinian
people due to the Israeli practices.
They took up means of establishing peace through
ending the occupation and setting up the Palestinian state in line with
international law and international legitimacy resolutions.
