The battle of Tazirbu, Libya

In a new success for the Libyan army forces, the army
announced on Monday the success of the forces in defeating the remnants of the ISIS
organization more than 400 kilometers from the city of Tazirbu in the
southwest.
Libyan military commanders stated that there is no other
chance for ISIS to repeat its terrorist attacks on villages and towns under the
control of the Libyan armed forces. The recent battles with the Libyan forces
in Tazirbu are the beginning of the inevitable end of terrorist organizations
in the country.

ISIS attacked a police station in the city of Tazirbu last November, killing nine members of the Libyan police force and kidnapping 11 others, including the head of the Security Directorate, Colonel Abdul Hamid Mohammed al-Senoussi.

Libyan researcher Mohammed al-Zubaidi said that the southern region stretches thousands of kilometers, explaining that the geographical and natural terrain of southern Libyan is rugged with mountains, valleys, plains and oases, contributing to the activity of terrorist organizations in the region. Therefore, the military’s successes are important at this time.
Zubaidi added that the terrorist organizations in southern Libya exploit the differences and conflicts between the governments in the country’s east and west, carrying out terrorist operations against civilians and Libyan forces. He noted that the terrorist organizations receive logistical, material and moral support from Qatar and Turkey.
