Afghan forces foil rocket attack on Kabul city

The Afghan security forces have thwarted militants
bid to carry out a rocket attack on Kabl city, Khaama Press reported Monday.
The Kabul Police Commandment confirmed that the
police forces have foiled a rocket attack on Kabul city.
According to a statement released by Kabul Police
Commandment, the police forces discovered a BM-1 rocket from the vicinity of
the 9th police district of the city at around 6:32am local time.
The statement further added that the rocket was
discovered in Dasht Padola area and was defused by the Explosives Ordnance
Disposal team of police.
The anti-government armed militant groups including
Taliban militants have not commented regarding the report so far.
This comes as the armed militants are attempting to
carry out attacks in key cities and provinces of the country during the recent
months.
