Kuwaiti interior min., UN official discuss countering terrorism
Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of
Interior (retired Lieutenant General) Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah and
Under-Secretary-General of the UN Counter-Terrorism Office Vladimir Ivanovich
and his accompanying delegation discussed on Wednesday issues of mutual
concern, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.
In a statement released by the Ministry of Interior
Affairs, Al-Jarrah noted, during the meeting, continuous cooperation between
the ministry and the office in sharing experience and information.
For his part, Ivanovich hailed Kuwait's efforts in
fighting terrorism.
The two sides focused during their discussions on
the need to boost coordination and develop regional and international relations
to counter terrorism, the statement added.
