CAIRO – Director of the Middle East Center for Studies in Paris Abdel Rahim Ali referred Thursday to the presence of a large number of terrorist organizations.

He noted at a seminar in French capital Paris on means of fighting the financing of terrorism that Daesh and al-Qaeda were not about the only terrorist organizations active in the world.

The seminar is organized simultaneously with an international conference in Paris on international efforts to fight the financing of terrorist organizations.

French President Emmanuel Macron attends the conference, along with delegates from 70 states and the representatives of more than 20 international organizations.

Ali said some of the people accused of standing behind terrorism in a number of countries were invited to the international conference in Paris.

He said Egypt fought the military arms of the Muslim Brotherhood organization in Sinai and other parts of it.

Nonetheless, he said, representatives of the Brotherhood were invited to the Paris conference.
