Ali says Qatari support to terrorists ‘unjustified’
CAIRO – Director of the Center for Middle East Studies Abdel Rahim Ali said Thursday that some people accused of supporting terrorism were invited to an international conference on fighting the financing of terrorist organizations in French capital Paris.
He added at a seminar on the same topic at Hotel Napoleon in Paris that Qatari support to Brotherhood figures was both “irrational” and “unjustified”.
He said Doha especially offered support to Brotherhood figures like Hamid al-Nuaimi and Abdelhakim Belhaj.
He called on the organizers of the Paris international conference on the financing of terrorist groups to put pressure on Qatar to force it hand over terrorists taking refuge now in Doha.
These terrorists should be arrested and handed over to their governments, not be invited to an international conference on the financing of terrorist organizations.
