AL team to attend celebrations on selecting Riyadh as capital of Arab media
An Arab League delegation under AL Assistant
Secretary General Badr Eddin Alali will participate in a ceremony to be held by
the Saudi Information Ministry on Monday on the occasion of selecting Riyadh as
the capital of Arab media.
In May, the Council of Arab Information Ministers
selected Riyadh to be the capital of Arab media in 2018-2019.
In a statement on Sunday, the Arab League said Alali
will chair the Arab Media Forum - which is due to be held on the sidelines of
the celebrations.
The forum will be held under the theme of Arab media
campaign to realize sustainable development 2030.
A cluster of media figures will take part in the
event to expound their visions vis-a-vis this campaign.
Saudi Arabia will also host the 13th meeting of the
Arab e-media committee on Wednesday on the fringe of the celebrations.
