UAE supports US peace efforts in Afghanistan

UAE Minister of Foreign Affairs and International
Cooperation Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan on Sunday received US special envoy
for peace in Afghanistan Zalmay Khalilzad.
The meeting tackled bilateral ties and ways to
enhance them, as well as regional and international issues of mutual interest,
WAM reported.
The UAE foreign minister reiterated the UAE's
support for efforts made by the US special envoy to help restore security,
stability and peace in Afghanistan.
The US envoy praised the UAE's efforts towards
Afghanistan and noble humanitarian missions it undertakes in support of the
Afghan people.
