AL condemns Turkish violation of Iraqi sovereignty

The Arab League (AL) has condemned the successive
Turkish strikes against posts in northern Iraq, stressing that such action is a
violation to the sovereignty of the Iraqi State.
The AL voiced its rejection of the Turkish strikes,
regardless the motives behind them, affirming, that the attacks contradict with
the rules of international law and the principles of good-neighborliness, AL
spokesman Mahmoud Afifi said on Tuesday.
The Arab summit has previously issued several
resolutions denouncing the violation of the Iraqi sovereignty in such way,
Afifi added.
Turkey's constant disregard to the Arab stance
reflects that Ankara does not care about keeping on good terms with the Arab
countries on the basis of respect for states' sovereignty and rejection of the
interference in other states' internal affairs, Afifi added.
