Houthi crimes in Yemen: The abduction of 150 mosque imams

A spokesman for the coalition forces supporting the legitimacy in Yemen,
Colonel Turki al-Maliki, said that the Houthi militia backed by Iran used
mosques as military sites in violation of international law and international
norms.
Houthi abuses include bombing mosques and targeting them with sabotage.
A report of a communication programme with Yemeni scientists last year said
that the Houthis blew up and bombed hundreds of mosques in Yemeni governorates.
The report revealed that the Huthis violated the sanctity of about 750 mosques
in Yemen, with bombing, heavy shelling, looting and theft, in addition to the
use of mosques and converting them into military barracks.
The report also monitored the terrorist group's violations against the imams.
By the year 2017, about 150 imams and preachers were kidnapped, prompting the
program to launch an information campaign through social media sites to uncover
and clarify the Houthis' violations of mosques and worshipers.
