15 militants killed during clashes with security forces in Ghazni
At least 15 militants have been killed during the
operations of the Afghan National Defense and Security Forces and US airstrikes
in southeastern Ghazni province.
At least seven militants were killed during a clash
between the security forces and Taliban militants in Qarabagh district, Khaama
Press quoted a statement by the 203rd Thunder Corps of the Afghan Military in
the South East as saying on Thursday.
According to the statement, the coalition forces
also carried out an airstrike in Aab Band district of Ghazni, leaving at least
4 militants dead.
In the meantime, four militants were killed and a
M-16 rifle was confiscated during other clashes which took place in center of
Ghazni and in the vicinity of Qarabagh district, the statement read.
The anti-government armed militant groups, including
Taliban, have not commented regarding the killing of the group’s militants so
far.
