Egypt takes part in joint Arab naval drills

Egyptian naval units are taking part in joint drills
which have already got underway in Saudi Arabia Red Sea waters with the
participation of forces from Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Djibouti, Yemen and Sudan.
The Red Wave-1 drills include training on several
activities of sea combat for enhancing the skills of army personnel of the
participant countries.
The exercises are aimed at boosting the combat and
preparedness efficiency of the participating forces to carry out any mission
under any circumstances.
The drills also come within the framework of an
Egyptian plan for joint training with the Armed Forces of other countries to
exchange expertise and achieve more understanding and integration by the
participant forces.
The war game which kicked off Sunday will run till
Thursday.
