'Radicals use mosques in Europe to spread terror'

CAIRO – International terrorism specialist Roland
Jacquard said Thursday that extremist Islamist groups use mosques in France and
Europe as a cover to spread terrorism.
This, he said, poses a real threat to countries in
the European continent.
He added at a seminar on the financing of terrorist
organizations in French capital Paris that such extremist groups take advantage
of democracy in European countries to spread violence.
Jacquard accused some countries of financing
terrorism and threatening global stability.
He referred to what he called the "hidden
game" of terrorism financing.
Jacquard said terrorist organizations serve the
interests of some countries.
"Qatar hosts extremely dangerous terrorists and
the leaders of terrorist organizations, such as al-Qaeda," Jacquard said.
The seminar is organized by the Center for Middle
East Studies. It is held simultaneously with an international conference in the
French capital on the financing of terrorism.
French President Emmanuel Macron attends the
international conference, along with a large number of terrorism experts and
government representatives.
