The inauguration of Al Fattah El Aleem Mosque and the Cathedral of the Nativity in the New Administrative Capital (NEC) by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi is an exceptional event that sends positive messages at home and abroad, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli said.

During the weekly meeting of the cabinet, Madbouli said that attendance of Azhar Grand Imam and Muslim clergy men in the church and the attendance of Pope Tawadros II accompanied by the priests in the mosque sent a message to the whole world on the unity of the Egyptians.

Madbouli thanked the Armed Forces, the Armed Forces Engineering Authority and the Egyptian contracting companies for building the mosque and the church in short duration.

Madbouli lauded the continuous efforts of the interior minister and the police members to maintain security.

He also offered condolences to the family of late bomb expert Mostafa Ebeid who was killed while trying to dismantle a bomb and save the lives of other citizens.

Madbouli also greeted the Egyptians on winning the organization of the Confederation of African Football 2019, adding that this event will have a positive political, economic and touristic impact.
