The Saudi air defense intercepted on Saturday eight ballistic
missiles, fired by Yemen's Iran-backed Houthi militants, over the Saudi
southwest city of Jizan. The attack resulted in the killing of one person and
damaging two houses in the city.
The Houthi-linked Masirah TV said the eight missiles
targeted Jizan's key economic hubs.
The Saudi daily newspaper, Okaz, said the air defense
intercepted and downed four missiles over Jizan, without revealing what
happened to the four others.
On Friday, the Arab coalition launched a number of air
strikes targeting Yemen's Interior Ministry, which is seized by Houthi militants,
in Sanaa.
