Iraqi court hands life sentence to 19 Russian women for joining Daesh

An Iraqi court sentenced on Sunday 19 Russian women to life imprisonment on
charges of joining Daesh terrorist group.
In early April, another Iraqi court sentenced seven foreign female nationals,
including two Russians, to life imprisonment. The number of Russian women jailed in Iraqi
prisons stand at 50-70, data from the Russian Foreign Ministry showed.
