Al-Shabab terrorist group in Somalia captured five soldiers
in the Somali army on Saturday and forced them to work under the command of the
movement’s militants in the town of El Bour in the central region of Gal Gadud.
The movement pointed out that the soldiers, who
surrendered with their weapons, were working in the town of “Mahas” in the
territory of “Hiran”, explaining that al-shabab seeks to increase operations
against government forces, and may capture more soldiers and include them as
part of an effort to increase the number of militants in the country.
Somali army forces are fighting on several fronts,
including the town of El Bour, to eliminate al-shabab which seeks to create
chaos and violence.
