Saudi king, Pompeo review regional developments

Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud had talks on
Monday with visiting US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on means of cementing
bilateral ties.
The talks tackled the latest developments in the
Middle East, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
Pompeo had talks also with Saudi Crown Prince
Mohamed bin Salman on the strategic partnership between the two countries.
The two sides reviewed regional and international
developments.
Mohammed ben Salman and US Secretary of State Mike
Pompeo discussed developments in Yemen, agreeing on the need for de-escalation
in the country, Al Arabiya news channel reported.
The US Mission to Saudi Arabia tweeted a video of
the meeting, adding that the crown prince and Pompeo also agreed on the need to
adhere to the Sweden agreements, especially the ceasefire and redeployment in
Hodeidah.
They also agreed that a comprehensive political
solution is the only way to end the conflict.
