Yemeni negotiations over prisoners kick off in Amman

Representatives of the Yemeni government and Houthis
began negotiations in the Jordanian capital Amman on Wednesday over terms of a
prisoner swap deal reached during Sweden peace talks last month.
The Jordanian government agreed on Tuesday to a
request by UN envoy to Yemen Martin Griffiths to host the negotiations.
The deal to exchange prisoners between the two sides
was part of confidence-building measures that included a plan to withdraw from
the contested port city of Hodeida and a lifeline for millions facing famine
due to the dragging on Yemeni crisis.
