Nearly 60 militants killed in Afghan, coalition forces operations

Nearly 60 militants have been killed during the separate
operations of the Afghan Special Forces and Coalition Forces in various
provinces of the country, Khaama Press reported.
According to the informed military sources, the Afghan
Special Operations Forces conducted a clearance operation in Qal’ah-e Now
district of Badghis province killing 39 Taliban fighters and destroying 30
IEDs.
The sources added that Afghan Special Operations Forces
conducted a patrol in Maiwand district of Kandahar to destroy Taliban weapons
caches.
The Afghan Special Operations Forces conducted a clearance
operation in Nesh district of Kandahar killing two Taliban fighters and
destroying a large amount of home-made explosives, the sources said.
They added that Afghan Special Operations Forces conducted a
raid on a suspected Taliban prison in Ghazni to rescue Afghan security force
prisoners. The Afghan soldiers had already been moved but the search will
continue.
