A suicide bomber blew himself up on Wednesday in the
upper floor of the Libyan electoral commission building in Tripoli, Libya's
Al-Wasat news reported.
Al-Wasat quoted an employee at the commission as
saying that efforts are underway to evacuate the employees who were trapped on
the floor where the explosion occurred.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for
the attack.
The attack on the commission bears the hallmarks of
a previous attack by Daesh militants on the premises of a court in Libya's
Misrata province.
Libya's interim government spokesman Hatem al Oraibi
said initial reports put the death toll from the attack at three, adding that
the number of those injured are still uncounted. (MENA)
