Egyptians to be judged only by constitution, says Ali
House of Deputies Member and the Director of the Middle East Studies Center in Paris, Dr Abdel Rahim Ali, said Sunday that Egyptians will only be judged by the constitution and the law.
He added at a seminar in Dutch capital, Amsterdam, that Egypt enjoys clear stability, compared to the post-2011 period.
"A large number of people carried arms while the Muslim Brotherhood was in power in Egypt," Ali said. "The Islamist group wanted to rule the country by the force of arms."
Ali is in Amsterdam at an invitation by the Supreme Council of the Egyptian Community in Holland. He will speak at the seminar about a wide range of issues, including the terrorist threat on Europe, the conditions of the Copts in Egypt and also the status of the Muslim Brotherhood in the country and outside it.
