Iraqi gov't forces foil Daesh attack in NE Baqubah

Iraqi security forces on Thursday thwarted a terror
attack by Daesh on a security checkpoint in north-east Baqubah.
Daesh militants assailed the checkpoint in Wadi al
Awsaj in the outskirts of Jalawla, according to a statement by a local source
in Diyala Governorate.
The National Iraqi News Agency (NINA) quoted the
source as saying that the attack was foiled while the militants sustained
several losses, the source noted.(MENA)
