Protest planned against Iran's mullahs in Paris

The French Committee for a Democratic Iran has called for staging demonstrations on February 8th against human rights violations perpetrated by the mullahs' regime in Iran as well as the terrorist operations ordered by the regime to be staged on European territories.
The committee said in a
statement that the European Union had unanimously labeled the Iranian
intelligence service as a "terrorist organization".
It said European states did
this after holding the Iranian intelligence responsible for a terrorist plot
against a gathering of the Iranian political organization, People's Mujahedin
of Iran. The plot was foiled on June 30, 2018.
The mullahs has stifled the
aspirations of the major Iranian revolution for independence, freedom and
founding the republic, the committee said.
It said the mullahs also
imposed a new type of religious despotism by using the revolution against the Shah.
The committee, which released
its statement on the anniversary of the downfall of the Shah regime in Iran in
1979, noted that the planned demonstration would aim to express support to
Iranians now protesting inside the Islamic Republic to demand freedom.
It said the demonstration
would also deliver a message of support to the National Council of Resistance
of Iran, describing the council as a viable alternative to the current regime
in Iran.
A number of municipality heads
in Paris, the committee said, would back the planned demonstration, along with
a host of human rights advocates.
