At least two people are reported to have been killed
and five others wounded in a car bomb explosion in Mogadishu on Tuesday
morning, Shabelle Media Network reported.
Mohamed Abdullahi Tuulah, the deputy Mogadishu mayor
on security and political affairs confirmed the casualties to the reporters,
saying the incident is under probe.
No group has claimed responsibility for the blast
which occurred outside a petrol station near Daljirka Dahson monument in
downtown Mogadishu.
Al Shabaab has in the past carried out such attacks
in the capital as part of its fight against the Somali government and the
African Union forces [AMISOM] in the country.
