Twenty Libyan MPs initiated a bill
on Sunday to designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization in
the wake of its crimes in Libya.
The MPs have stressed that the
Brotherhood has been supporting terrorism in Libya from the beginning, citing
that the group has been stoking a war on legitimacy since 2014. The Brotherhood
also created a parallel government supporting terrorism.
The MPs pointed out that the
Brotherhood had opposed any political solution in Libya and undermined the
rebuilding of the state.
The head of the Libya’s Supreme
Council of State, Khalid Al-Mishri, resigned from the Muslim Brotherhood on
Saturday.
