Houthi militias violated a UN-brokered ceasefire
agreement in Hodeidah hours after the departure of UN envoy Martin Griffiths, Al
Arabiya news channel reported Wednesday.
Local sources said clashes flared up between Houthis
and Yemeni army forces in flashpoints and continued till the wee hours of
Wednesday.
The army intercepted Houthis' attempts to sneak into
some areas in Hodeidah, the sources added.
The two warring parties
in Yemen’s civil war, the Houthis and Yemen’s internationally-recognized
government, reached a ceasefire agreement in December 2018, which includes the
full withdrawal of Houthi troops from Hodeidah’s three ports and city.
