Paris supports Cairo in face of terrorism - French MP

French National Assembly member Amal Amelia Lakrafi
stressed on Thursday that Paris supports Cairo in the face of terrorism in
light of Egypt's important role in the stability of the Middle East and Europe.
The lawmaker, in an interview with MENA on the
sidelines of her visit to the Cairo International Book Fair, said French
President Emmanuel Macron lauded Egypt's efforts in fighting terrorism and
extremism.
She said Macron insisted on visiting Egypt at a time
France is suffering from internal turbulence on the back of yellow vests
protests.
She added that Macron accepted Sisi's invitation to
visit the New Administrative Capital though it was not listed on his itinerary
given Egypt's importance to France.
Sisi urged Macron to pump more investments in
Egypt's mega development projects.
She referred to Macron and his wife's fascination of
the Egyptian civilization during their visit to Abu Simbel Temple.
She called on French tourists to visit Egypt, saying
Egypt is very safe.
