UAE’s Gargash urges UN action to stop Houthi ceasefire violations

The United Arab Emirates Minister of State for
Foreign Affairs, Dr. Anwar Gargash, urged the United Nations - in a series of
tweets on Wednesday - to take urgent actions to stop the Houthi violations of
the ceasefire agreement in Yemen, saying that the pro-Iranian militias have
violated the deal almost 1,000 times.
He stressed that the Arab coalition supporting the
legitimate government in Yemen was ready to exercise more force to make the
Houthi militias abide by the peace deal agreed in Sweden.
Gargash also confirmed that the coalition targeted
10 training camps of the militias outside Hodeidah port city.
The UAE minister added that the Houthis were not
pulling out from Hodeidah and its port, and were obstructing the work of the UN
mission in Yemen and also blocking the passage of vessels carrying aid to the
county’s ports.
