Taliban and Daesh militants killed in coalition airstrikes in Nangarhar

At least five militants affiliated with the Taliban
and Daesh groups were killed during separate airstrikes of the coalition forces
in eastern Nangarhar province of Afghanistan, reported Khaama Press news agency
on Saturday.
The 201st Silab Corps of the Afghan Military in the
East in a statement said the coalition forces carried out airstrikes in
Khogyani district earlier today.
The statement further added that the airstrikes left
three Taliban militants dead.
In another airstrike carried out at around 9am local
time in Khogyani district today, two Daesh militants were killed, the 201st
Silab Corps added in its statement.
The anti-government armed militant groups including
Taliban and Daesh have not commented regarding the airstrikes so far.
Nangarhar is among the relatively calm provinces in
East of Afghanistan but the anti-government armed elements including Taliban
and Daesh loyalists are active in some of its remote districts.
