Africa welcomes Sisi’s chairmanship of AU

President of the African Parliament Roger Nkodo Dang
on Tuesday welcomed President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s chairmanship of the
African Union (AU) for one year starting from Sunday.
According to political adviser to the parliament's
president Mostafa el Gindy, Dang said that the African countries are looking
forward to president Sisi's chairmanship of the pan-African organization.
Gindy praised president Sisi's efforts to achieve
African interests during his foreign trips and at talks with international
officials.
A recent visit by president Sisi to Austria, which
is the current chairman of the European Union, will indeed reflect positively
on coordination between the African and European blocs in the future, added
Gindy.
President Sisi explained during his Austrian visit
Egypt’s vision on numerous African and Arab issues, he pointed out,
highlighting Egypt's assiduous efforts to serve African and Arab development
and stability.
