36 killed, injured in fire exchange in eastern Afghanistan

At least six civilians were killed and 30 injured
Sunday when militants exchanged fire with security forces in eastern
Afghanistan.
Militants detonated bombs and stormed a government
building in an ongoing assault in the eastern Afghan city of Jalalabad,
officials said.
There were two explosions near the city’s
directorate of finance, the Nangarhar provincial governor’s spokesman Attaullah
Khogyani said.
