Cyprus concerned with serious escalation of situation in Gaza

Cyprus government on Tuesday voiced its concern over
the serious escalation of the situation in Gaza after moving the US Embassy to
al Quds, Cyprus News Agency reported.
Cyprus maintains the position that the final status
of Jerusalem is to be determined through negotiations, noting that it is
concerned over the serious escalation of the situation in Gaza and that further
loss of life must be avoided.
“The Republic of Cyprus is concerned with the
serious escalation of the situation in Gaza resulting in dozens of Palestinians
killed and hundreds injured. Further loss of life must be avoided and we call
on all to demonstrate utmost restraint,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said
in a press statement.
