Expert says Qatar takes advantage of the Palestinian cause

Saeed Al-Lawendy, an expert on international relations, has said that Qatar is taking advantage of the Palestinian cause, while it receives many Israeli figures in Doha.

"Qatar's position regarding the Palestinian cause is no good after it bolstered its ties with Israel," Al-Lawendy told THE REFERENCE.

"Qatar's support to Hamas at the expense of Fatah, the legitimate representative of the Palestinian people, raises a number of question and doubts," he said.

Al-Lawendy added that Qatar lost much of credibility among the Arab world, especially the Arab Gulf region.
