Mogadishu car bomb kills at least 11

A car bomb has been reported in Mogadishu this afternoon. Police said that the bombing has killed at least 11 people.
The explosion happened at a busy road in the Somali capital, Mogadishu. The car bomb destroyed two restaurants killing many people in the area.
A vehicle which parked around the restaurants is said to have caught fire.
“The blast destroyed a restaurant and killed many who were inside and outside the restaurant. The death toll might rise,” A police major told Reuters.
It is believed that more death might be involved. Numbers of the injured too are yet to be long-established.
“So far we know at least eight people died and dozens injured,” the Major added.
Among the injured is Sheikh Yusuf Ali Aynte, a former member of the parliament.
Maka Al-Mukarama road has been a target for such terrorist attacks. Al-Shabaab carried out an attack that killed over 50 people in the last few weeks.
