The Libyan parliament's committee on foreign affairs
and international cooperation reiterated Saturday its support for the Libyan
National Army's operation in Tripoli to free the city of militant groups.
The panel said, in a statement carried by Sky News
channel, that in face of the international community's failure, these groups
have hindered the rule of law and the establishment of peace and security in
Libya.
The committee hailed the operation as a national
duty to eliminate terrorist and law-breaking groups.
The army's forces have already taken control of
Sorman and Gharyan towns before entering into the capital.
