Yemeni army killed 4 senior leaders of Houthi militia

The Yemeni army faced Houthi
militia in El-Maris in the north of Dalea province in southern Yemen, killing a
number of militia members, including senior leaders.
The clashes broke out
after elements of the Iranian-backed militia tried to sneak into army positions
in the villages of Winnan, Al-Hamra, Solan and Al-Kahra in Maris area. However,
the army forces thwarted the militia's attempt and forced them to retreat and
flee.
The clashes resulted deaths
and injuries among the militia, including four prominent field leaders; Mohsen
Masoud Jazilan, Dafih Yahya Hanin, Tahir Mohsen Rajeh, and Abounsar Karaba, the
Yemeni Army website reported.
It is noteworthy that among
these fierce clashes, the Yemeni army artillery targeted reinforcements to the
militia which resulted destruction of two tanks, and BMB vehicle.
The fighters of the
Arab alliance, has targeted groups belonging to Houthi militia in Dhala, while
the Yemeni army foiled a large attack on its positions in Taiz in the south of
the country.
The Yemeni Ministry of
Defense said that the coalition fighters targeted Houthi communities and
reinforcements north of Dhala, which resulted in dozens of dead and wounded in
their ranks.
The raids targeted the
Houthi fortifications in Naseet Mountain in the area of Mares.
The raids also resulted
in the destruction of a tank and two Houthi patrols, all of which were carrying
elements. The raids coincided with the reprisal of the Yemeni army forces to
the Houthi attack in the Zaila area and forced them to retreat and flee amid
heavy human and material losses in the same area.
