Al Azhar and Awqaf min. deplore terrorist attack in North Sinai

Al Azhar condemned on Tuesday a terrorist attack
that hit a marketplace at Sheikh Zowayyed city in North Sinai, leaving seven
people, including four policemen and three civilians, dead and others wounded.
In a statement, Al Azhar said that targeting the
innocent people by the terrorists proves that the harsh blows dealt by the
Armed Forces and police to these groups made them incapable of direct
confrontation.
Al Azhar extended its deepest condolences to the
Egyptian police and the families of the victims, wishing the injured a speedy
recovery.
Minister of Awqaf Mohamed Mokhtar Gomaa has deplored
the terrorist attack that targeted a police patrol in Sheikh Zuweid city in
North Sinai, leaving seven people, including four policemen, dead and 26 others
wounded.
In a statement released on Tuesday, Gomaa said such
heinous acts contradict with Islam, describing the killing of innocent people
as one of the greatest sins.
The minister, also, praised great sacrifices made by
army and police personnel to defend the homeland, extending his condolences to
the victims' families and wishing a speedy recovery for the wounded, the
statement added.
