Egypt’s security forces foil terrorist attack in South Sinai

Egypt’s security forces succeeded to foil a
terrorist attack, Friday, targeted Oyun Musa security checkpoint, in South
Sinai.
According to an official statement, a group of armed
terrorists tried to attack the checkpoint; however the security forces
exchanged fire with them.
Two terrorists were announced killed by the forces
as a result of the fire exchanging. An explosive belt found with one of the
terrorists, was defused as well according to the statement.
On Thursday, Six terrorists affiliated with the
Islamist militant group, Hasm Movement, were killed, during a fire exchange
with security forces. According to a statement issued by the Ministry of
interior, these elements were involved in a number of hostile activities aimed
at destabilizing the country's security and stability.
Earlier on March 7, Police forces managed to
neutralize seven terrorists in Giza during fire exchanges in two separate
locations, the Interior Ministry said in the statement. The neutralized
elements reportedly belonged to the Islamist militant group, Hasm Movement.
The police targeted the elements as security
investigations revealed they had planned to trigger a bomb in Giza.
